The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson 16U Black Sox hosted Lennox on Wednesday, June 14th. Lennox shut out the Black Sox by a score of 17-0 in three innings.
The game was close for the first two innings. Lennox scored three times in the top of the first, and then both teams were scoreless in the second inning. The offense for Lennox then exploded for 14 runs in the top of the third inning.
The Black Sox were held without a hit or even a base runner in the game. Tommy Walth pitched 2 1/3 innings allowing eight runs, six earned, on six hits and four walks with three strikeouts. Espyn Klungseth pitched 2/3 of an inning and allowed nine earned runs on eight hits with one strikeout.
