Black Sox Drop Road Game in Wagner

The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Black Sox (0-9) are still in search of their first win of the season.  The Black Sox dropped a road game in Wagner 21-2 on Monday, May 1st.

Wagner scored 15 runs in the first three innings.  They got four in the bottom of the first, one in the second, and then 10 more in the bottom of the third.  The Black Sox scored both of their runs in the top of the fourth.  Cooper Nelson had an RBI double then scored on a steal of home.  Wagner scored six more runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Joseph Anderson had two hits in the game.  Nelson had a double and an RBI.  Ashton Oberle had the only other hit for Beresford/Alcester-Hudson.  Ethan Bovill pitched two innings and allowed eight runs, four earned, on seven hits and five walks with a strikeout.  Landen Kroger pitched one inning allowing seven runs, all unearned, on one hit and three walks with a strikeout.  Dominic Van Egdom pitched an inning and allowed six runs, four earned, on six hits and a walk with one strikeout.
