Both the Beresford Watchdog girls and boys track teams traveled to Yankton for the First Dakota Relays on Thursday, April 27th. The boys team had four top five place finishers.
Andrew Atwood won the 1600m run with a time of 4:32.65. Zach Boden had a second place finish in the javelin. Landon Schurch was fifth in the discus, and Peyton Fridrich also had a fifth place finish in the long jump. In addition to these top five finishes, the 4x100m relay team of Gaval Valder, Brody Andrews, Jax Fickbohm, and Fridrich placed seventh. The 4x200m relay team of Jack Stenen, Andrews, Fridrich, and Valder placed ninth.
The girls team had a couple of top 20 finishes. The 4x200m relay team of Rachel Zanter, Hailey Hamm, Macy Johnson, and Cassandra Twedt placed 15th. Twedt also had a 17th place finish in the 100m hurdles.
