Five Wrestlers for Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Qualify for State

The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson wrestling team took part in the Region 2A wrestling tournament at Brandon Valley High School on Friday, February 17th.  The team finished fourth with 128.5 points.  Five individual wrestlers qualified for the state tournament by placing in the top four of their respective weight classes.

Peyton Fridrich won the 160-pound class with three wins.  Dexton Miller (113), Robert Watkins (152), Landon Schuch (195), and Aaron Larson (220) all finished third in their respective weight classes with 3-1 records.  These five wrestlers will be in the state tournament.

Kanin Klentz (120) had a fifth place finish with a 2-2 record.  Alex Jensen (285) was also fifth with a 2-2 record.  Owen Serck (106) placed sixth with a 1-3 record.  Isaac Boden (145) also placed sixth with a 1-3 record.

Tate Lyle (126) and Gaval Valder (170) were 0-2 for the day.
