Watchdog Volleyball Full of Optimism for 2022 Season

After a slow start to the 2021 season, the Beresford Watchdogs finished 11-22 with most of the wins coming at the end of the season.  They finished in the top four at the Redfield Tournament that featured programs such as Warner, Miller, Northwestern, and Florence-Henry.  The Watchdogs also had a first-round upset win over the second seeded Tea Area Titans in region play last season.

With momentum coming at the end of last season, 2022 is filled with optimism.

“We have a majority of our players back for their senior year.  We have had a terrific summer of open gyms and camps.  The athletes have been working hard and really have made a big focus on proving to people that this Beresford team can rank right up there with some of the top teams from the past,” said head coach Rob Wilson.

Beresford will have 13 seniors this year that will contribute in some fashion throughout the season.  Those seniors are Savannah Beason, Irelyn Fickbohm, Brenna Dann, Maddie Erickson, Eva Schaap, Haleigh Stene, Josie Delay, Larissa Tiedeman, Addy Wills, Rachel Zanter, Autumn Namminga, McKayla Roelke, and Julianne Seeley.  Zanter is on pace for 1000+ digs for her career this season and also the school record.

The Watchdogs will start the 2022 season on the road at Canton on Tuesday, August 23rd.
