The Baltic Bulldog girls basketball team hosted the Canton C-Hawks on Friday, January 30th. Canton grabbed the lead in the first quarter and held for a 49-29 victory.
The C-Hawks built a 13-4 lead by the end of the first quarter. The lead grew in the second quarter, but only by four more points. Canton led 25-12 at halftime. Baltic was held to just six points in the third quarter as Canton extended the lead to 38-18. Each team scored 11 points in the fourth quarter.
Baltic shot 24% (8-33) overall in the game, 30% (6-20) on three-point shots, and 58% (7-12) from the free-throw line. Canton was 31% (20-64) shooting overall, just 1-13 on three-point shots, and 53% (8-15) from the free-throw line.
Sadey Holt ended with 13 points and six rebounds. Braylee Parmely finished with 11 points and two rebounds. Kaiya Lenderts and Anna Hoekman each had two points and two rebounds.
