Baltic Volleyball Sweeps Centerville at Home

The Baltic Bulldog volleyball team hosted the Centerville Tornadoes on Tuesday, October 21st.  The Bulldogs swept the Tornadoes in three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-16, and 25-16.

Centerville started the first set with an early 3-1 lead.  Baltic responded with a 6-4 run to tie the score 7-7.  The Bulldogs kept that rally going and took an 11-8 advantage.  The lead grew to 17-9.  The Tornadoes chipped away to cut the lead down to 20-14 and then 22-18, but the Bulldogs finished the set with a 3-1 run for a 25-19 win.

The Tornadoes started the second set again with the lead, this time 3-2.  Baltic once again went on a run to take a 6-5 lead.  They extended their advantage to 12-7.  Centerville got to within two points, 15-13.  Once again the Bulldogs stopped the rally.  They went no a 7-2 run to extend their lead to 22-15 before winning 25-16.

Baltic opened the third set with a quick 4-1 start.  That quick start kept them in front the entire set.  The Bulldogs went ahead 10-5 and then extended the lead to 14-8.  They continued to lead by six points at 18-12.  Baltic then finished the match with a 7-4 spurt for a 25-16 win.
