The Baltic Bulldog softball team hosted the Deuel Cardinals, with Deuel playing as the home team, on Tuesday, March 31st. The Cardinals held Baltic hitless and used early runs to help them to a 6-2 win.
Deuel scored their first three runs in the bottom of the first inning. They added another run in the bottom of the second for a 4-0 lead. Jordyn Wehde scored on an error in the top of the third to get Baltic on the board. Amelia Sinding scored on an error in the top of the fourth to cut the Cardinal lead in half, 4-2. The Cardinals, however, scored a single run in the bottom of the fifth and sixth innings to make the score 6-2.
Ashlyn Klein pitched all six innings and allowed six runs, three earned, on four hits and seven walks with 11 strikeouts.
