Bulldog Girls Fall to Fliers in Flandreau

The Baltic Bulldog girls basketball team suffered a road loss in Flandreau on Tuesday, February 17th.  The Fliers took the lead early in the first quarter on their way to a 58-25 win.

The Bulldogs held an early 3-2 lead after Kaiya Lenderts made a three-point shot with 6:15 to go in the quarter.  Flandreau then finished the quarter on a 21-3 run to build a 23-6 lead at the quarter break.  The two teams played even in the second quarter.  The Fliers held just a one-point scoring advantage, 11-10, in the quarter and led 34-16 at halftime.  They would hold the Bulldogs to just nine points in the second half.

Baltic finished the game shooting 32% (9-28) from the field overall, 29% (4-14) on three-point area, and 3-4 from the free-throw line.  Flandreau was 43% (23-53) shooting, 37% (7-19) on three-point shots, and 5-6 from the free-throw line.

Harper Kortemeyer had eight points, four rebounds, and four steals.  Sadey Holt ended with seven points.  Lenderts finished with five points and three rebounds.  Meredith Larson also had five points.
