Fast Start Leads to Win for Baltic Boys

The Baltic Bulldog boys got back into the win column with a big victory at Elkton-Lake Benton, 71-43, on Tuesday, February 10th.  Baltic got off to a fast start and cruised to the win.

The Bulldogs started the game with a 12-2 run and never looked back.  They led 26-10 by the end of the first quarter.  The Elks got within 13, 29-16, in the second quarter, but that was as close as they would get.  The Bulldogs led 47-28 at halftime.  They would push the lead to 67-35 by the end of the third quarter.

Baltic shot 58% (28-48) from the field overall in the game, 25% (4-16) on three-point shots, and 79% (11-14) from the free-throw line.  Elkton-Lake Benton was 26% (14-54) shooting overall, 29% (9-31) from three-point area, and 86% (6-7) from the free-throw line.

Four players finished in double figures for Baltic.  Trevor Cuperus led the way with 23 points and four rebounds.  Kellen Artz had 13 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists.  Cooper Garry also had 13 points with three assists and three steals.  Dylan Runestad added 10 points and four rebounds.
