The Lennox Orioles outscored Baltic 26-11 combined in the first and last quarters which helped them to a 58-41 win over the Baltic Bulldogs in Baltic on Thursday, February 5th.
Lennox took an early 8-2 lead in the first quarter. Baltic cut the lead to 10-7, but the Orioles finished the quarter on a 5-0 run for a 15-7 lead. The Bulldogs pulled within four points, 24-20, in the second quarter. Lennox, however, would end the first half with a 30-23 lead.
The Bulldogs got the lead down to 32-30 in the third quarter, but Lennox held off any more rally by Baltic. Lennox pushed the lead to 47-37 by the end of the third quarter. They would then hold the Bulldogs to just four points in the final quarter for the win.
Baltic shot 35% (16-46) from the field overall, 29% (6-21) from three-point area, and 3-5 from the free-throw line. Lennox was 42% (22-53) shooting in the game, 32% (6-19) on three-point shots, and 8-12 from the free-throw line.
Dylan Runestad had 14 points, two rebounds, and two assists. Ben Erickson ended with 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Trevor Cuperus added six points and seven rebounds. Kellen Artz had four points, 10 rebounds, and three assists.
