Quick Start Leads Colman-Egan to Win over Baltic Girls

The Baltic Bulldog girls traveled to Colman-Egan to face the undefeated Hawks on Friday, January 2nd.  Colman-Egan used a quick start to lead them to a 63-33 win.

The Hawks started the game on a 6-0 run in the first minute and a half.  Caitlyn Pickett made a free-throw to make the score 6-1, but Colman-Egan then went on a 9-0 run for a 15-1 lead.  Colman-Egan ended the first quarter leading 24-7.  The Hawks continued to build on their lead in the second quarter.  They led 39-14 at halftime.

The Bulldog offense was able to find some momentum in fourth quarter after the Hawks outscored them 14-5 in the third quarter.  Baltic went on a 12-0 over a four minute span in the fourth quarter to pick up some momentum for their game on Saturday.

The Bulldogs shot 29% (11-38) overall in the game, 28% (5-18) on three-point attempts, and 55% (6-11) from the free-throw line.  Colman-Egan was 46% (25-55) shooting overall, 27% (6-22) from three-point area, and 58% (7-12) from the free-throw line.

Braylee Parmely had 11 points.  Pickett finished with nine points, five rebounds, and four assists.  Sadey Holt added five points and four rebounds.  Meredith Larson had four points, six rebounds, and two assists.
