Fast Start Sends Bulldog Boys to Win over Colman-Egan

A 12-0 start by the Baltic Bulldog boys set the tone for their 56-21 victory over the Colman-Egan Hawks in Colman on Friday, January 2nd.

The first quarter ended with Baltic leading 15-3.  The Bulldog defense was able to hold Colman-Egan to single-digit scoring in all four quarters of the game.  Baltic outscored the Hawks 14-7 in the second quarter for a 29-10 halftime lead.  Colman-Egan did score the first four points of the third quarter, but they were held to just three more the rest of the quarter as Baltic extended their lead to 46-17 going into the fourth quarter.

The Bulldogs shot 44.4% (20-45) from the field overall, 35.7% (5-14) on three-point attempts, and 73.3% (11-15) from the free-throw line.  Colman-Egan shot just 13.2% (5-38) overall, just 1-20 on three-point shots, and 62.5% (10-16) from the free-throw line.

Kellen Artz had 16 points and 15 rebounds.  Ben Erickson added 10 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.  Trevor Cuperus had eight points.  Cooper Garry and Dylan Runestad each had seven points.
