The Baltic Bulldog girls basketball team traveled to Beresford for a battle with the Watchdogs on Friday, December 12th. Beresford built a large lead in the middle quarters for a 66-52 win.
The Watchdogs were able to build a 17-9 lead through the first quarter. The Bulldogs were held to just six points in the second quarter, and Beresford built a 36-15 lead going into halftime. Baltic was able to keep pace with Beresford through the second half. Beresford outscored the Bulldogs by just two points in the third quarter and led 52-29 going into the fourth quarter. Baltic had a big fourth quarter and outscored Beresford 23-14, but the lead was too much to overcome.
Three players finished in double figures for Baltic. Meredith Larson had 13 points to lead the way. Harper Kortemeyer and Caitlyn Pickett both had 12 points each.
