Baltic Volleyball Rallies Past Parker/Marion

The Baltic Bulldog volleyball team rallied past the Parker/Marion Pheasants in a straight-set win on Thursday, September 25th.  The Bulldogs won by scores of 25-16, 25-15, and 25-17.

Despite the Bulldogs winning in straight sets, Parker/Marion had leads in all three games.  The Pheasants took an 8-4 lead in the opening set.  The continued to lead by scores of 10-7, 13-8, and 14-11.  Baltic eventually tied the score 15-15 and then finished the set on a 10-1 run for the 25-16 win.

The second set started in a 3-3 tie.  Baltic then took a 5-4 lead, but the Pheasants scored the next two points for a 6-5 lead.  After an 8-8 tie, the Bulldogs went back in front 14-10.  They kept rolling from there to a 20-13 score before winning 25-15.

Baltic got out to a quick 3-1 lead to start the third set.  They continued to lead 7-6, but the Pheasants went on a 3-0 run for a 9-7 lead.  The Bulldogs tied the score 9-9 and then went on a 5-2 run for a 14-11 lead.  Parker/Marion got within a point, 14-13, but the Bulldogs went on a 6-2 run for a 20-15 advantage.  Baltic finished the set on a 5-2 run to take the match.

The Bulldogs are now 11-5 on the season.  They travel to St Mary’s High School for a match against the Cardinals on Monday, September 29th.
