The Baltic high school baseball team couldn’t hold an early lead and suffered a 10-3 loss to West Central on Wednesday, April 30th.
Baltic scored the first three runs of the game. They got a run in the top of the second, one in the fourth, and one more in the top of the fifth for a 3-0 lead. West Central rallied for four runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead 4-3. They would have a big six-run inning in the bottom of the sixth for the 10-3 score.
Elias Oakley and Isaac Oakley both had a single and an RBI. Braxten Allen and Jackson Goehring each added a hit, and Ryder Siemonsma had an RBI. Allen pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed six runs, none of them earned, on five hits and four walks with three strikeouts. Gavin Skotvold pitched 2/3 of an inning and allowed four unearned runs without a hit while walking three batters.
