Baltic High School hosted the state powerlifting meet on Saturday, March 1st. The Bulldog team had a very strong showing at the meet. Fourteen lifters finished in the top five of their respective classes.
Kaylee Siemonsma, Ava Tiahrt, and Holland Kortemeyer all took first place in their division. Tyler Kennedy, Elias Oakley, Alex Hockenberry, Garrett Wilkison, and Shea Christensen had second place finishes. Cat Phan placed third. Dinh Phan, Aaron Nordbye, and Anna Hoekman all finished fourth. Kaiden Olson and Elise Wilde had fifth-place finishes. Tiahrt was also the “Best Female Lifter” at the state meet.
Ellie Pickett, Tyler Ochsner, Jake Wilde, Gavin Miller, Gavin Skotvold, Bryce Campbell, Jack Wiseman, Blake Marohl, Jeremiah Davis, Joey Grunewaldt, Aiden Peters, and Connor Hembree all took part in the state meet as well.
