Junior Class Looks to Lead Baltic Boys Basketball Team

Four returning juniors, along with a new comer to the program, will lead the Baltic Bulldog boys basketball program for the next couple of years according to head coach Alex Langner.  The Bulldogs finished 14-8 and hope to improve on that success.

“I think this group was part of a team that got a taste of what they wanted in success last year.  It’s time for this group to take another step in that direction that we are capable of.  Our top five guys are going to have to perform consistently until our guys off the bench get more confident and comfortable on the floor.  Our schedule is challenging and is by no means any gimme games.  We have to be willing to compete for 32 minutes to go get wins,” said Langner.

The Bulldogs will be led by juniors Kellen Artz, Dylan Runestad, Ben Erickson, Trevor Cuperus, and Cooper Garry.  Bradyn Hanson (sophomore) and Ben Berg (freshman) are two players to keep an eye on this season.

“Our guys know that they can compete within our conference and region.  We hope to continue to improve and get better as the season goes along.  Defensively we want to hold opponents under 45 points, offensively our goal is to consistently get to 55.  They each have individual goals as well.  Ultimately our outcomes will be the result of the work our kids put into preparing each and every day at practice,” added Langner.

Baltic starts the 2024-2025 season at home against Beresford on Friday, December 13th.
