Dell Rapids used a six-run second inning to lead them to a 9-1 win over Baltic/Colton in Baltic on Wednesday, July 17th.
The visiting Phils scored a run in the top of the first. Baltic/Colton tied the game, 1-1, right away in the bottom of the first inning. Dell Rapids, however, scored six runs in the second inning to go ahead 7-1. They also scored single runs in the fifth and sixth innings in the victory.
Baltic/Colton was held to just four hits. Everett Althoff had two of those hits. Beau Keith had a single and an RBI. Tate Feucht also had a hit. Tyller Groenewold pitched two innings and allowed seven runs, six earned, on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts. Feucht pitched 3 2/3 innings allowing two runs, one earned, on two hits and six walks with three strikeouts. Riley Schutlz threw 1 1/3 innings and struck out three batters.
