The Baltic/Colton legion baseball team suffered a home loss against Vermillion on Friday, July 12th by a score of 6-2.
Vermillion took the lead in the top of the first, 1-0, and never trailed in the game. They added another run in the top of the third for 2-0 lead. Baltic/Colton cut the lead in half, 2-1, with a run in the bottom of the third. Each team would score a run again in the fifth inning for a 3-2 score. Vermillion then added three runs in the top of the seventh for the win.
Carter Sorenson, Gunner Schultz, and Tate Feucht all had two hits each. Riley Schultz finished with a hit. Everett Althoff and Beau Keith both had an RBI. Sorenson pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on two hits and five walks with three strikeouts. Keith pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed three earned runs on four hits and a walk with one strikeout.
