Baltic/Colton Legion Falls One Run Short of Vermillion

The Baltic/Colton legion baseball team came up one run short against Vermillion on Wednesday, June 26th.  Vermillion scored in three straight innings and held for the 3-2 win.

Nathan Madison but Baltic/Legion in front with an RBI groundout in the top of the first inning.  Vermillion scored single runs in the bottom of the second, third, and fourth innings.   Everett Althoff scored on a wild pitch in the top of the fifth to bring Baltic/Colton within a run, but they couldn’t get the tying run home the rest of the game.

Gunner Schultz had two hits, including a double.  Carter Sorenson also had two hits.  Althoff and Beau Keith each had a single.  Madison finished with an RBI.  Sorenson pitched five innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts.  Keith pitched one inning without allowing a hit or walk.
