Brody Aspass delivered a one-out, two-run single to give Baltic an 11-10 walk-off win over Sioux Falls Christian White on Tuesday, June 25th.
Both offenses started hot scoring three runs each in the first inning. Sioux Falls Christian got two runs in the top of the third, while Baltic scored once for a 5-4 score. Sioux Falls Christian scored four times in the top of the fourth to extend the lead to 9-4. Baltic rallied with two runs in the bottom of the fourth and fifth making the score 9-8. Sioux Falls Christian made the score 10-8 with a run in the top of the sixth.
Kaden Rick started the bottom of the seventh inning with a walk, and Braeden Turner followed with a single. After an hour, Rick scored on a steal of home to make the score 10-9. Alexander Hockenberry and Wyatt Peterson both drew a walk to load the bases ahead of Aspass’ two-run, game-winning hit.
Turner had four hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Braeden Breece had two hits and two RBIs. Rick and AJ Gruenwaldt both had two hits each, and each had a double. Aspass ended with a single and two RBIs. Brody Hansen, Gavin Skotvold, and Hockenberry all had a single and an RBI each. Peterson ended with one hit.
