The Baltic/Colton legion baseball team suffered a 3-2 road loss in Canova on Wednesday, June 12th.
Baltic/Colton scored two runs in the top of the first inning. Nathan Madison had an RBI single, and Riley Schultz scored on an error to give them a 2-0 lead. They continued to lead 2-0 until the bottom of the third inning. Salem/Montrose/Canova took the lead in the bottom of the third with three runs. Those three runs were just enough as Salem/Montrose/Canova was able to hold the rest of the game for the win.
Madison finished with a single and an RBI. Carter Sorenson, Gunner Schultz, Cody Lofswold, and Everett Althoff all had one hit each. R. Schultz pitched five innings and allowed three runs, all unearned, on three hits and four walks with nine strikeouts. Sorenson pitched an inning and allowed just one hit.
