The Baltic 14U baseball team, currently 2-6 in the I-29 League, suffered a 20-3 loss against West Central Royal on Tuesday, June 11th.
West Central took the lead in the first inning and maintained the lead throughout the game. They scored six runs in the top of the first. Baltic cut the lead to 6-2 after two runs in the bottom of the first. West Central, however, scored three in the second, two in the third, three runs in the fourth, and six more in the fifth for a 20-2 lead. Baltic scored their third run of the game in the bottom of the fifth.
Brody Hansen, Gavin Skotvold, and Hayden Sunderman all had one hit each. Hansen pitched three innings and allowed 13 runs, five earned, on four hits and seven walks with three strikeouts. Kaden Rick pitched one inning and allowed four runs, all earned, on two hits and two walks. AJ Gruenwaldt allowed three runs, one earned, on four walks. Skotvold pitched 2/3 of an inning getting two strikeouts.
