The Baltic Bulldogs softball team had their season end in the SoDak 16 against Chester on Wednesday, May 22nd. The Flyers took the win 17-5 in five innings.
The Flyers built a big lead in the first two innings. They scored nine runs in the bottom of the first and then four more in the second for a 13-0 lead. Baltic scored four times in the top of the third. Chester responded with three in the bottom of the third to make the score 16-4. Each team got a run in the fourth inning.
Caitlyn Pickett had two hits, one a double, and an RBI. Katelyn Moser had a double and an RBI. Alexis Kehn added a single and an RBI. Madyson Determan finished with a double. Harper Kortemeyer and Baylee Breece each had a single. Ryah Peters pitched 1/3 of an inning and allowed eight runs, but just one earned, on five hits and two walks. Charlee Blommer pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed nine runs, eight earned, on seven hits and six walks with six strikeouts.
