A big seventh inning rally gave the Baltic high school baseball team an 8-6 win over Hanson on Tuesday, May 14th.
Baltic started the top of the first inning with three runs. Hanson got a run in the bottom of the first, another in the second, and two more in the third for a 4-3 lead. Baltic tied the game with a run in the top of the fourth. Hanson scored twice in the bottom of the fifth to go in front 6-4.
Braxton Allen tied the game with a two-run single. Payton Anderson drew a bases-loaded walk to put Baltic in front 7-6. The final run of the top of the seventh came on an RBI single by Jackson Goehring.
Allen had three singles and two RBIs. Goehring had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs. Tate Feucht added two singles. Anderson had a single and an RBI. Beau Breece and Riiker Rogers each had a single. Elias Oakley had two RBIs. Breece pitched 4 2/3 innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on five hits and a strikeout. Allen pitched 2 1/3 innings and allowed four runs, two earned, on three walks and a strikeout.
