The Baltic Bulldog softball team scored a big 18-3 win over the Canton C-Hawks on Monday, May 13th. The Bulldogs took advantage of seven Canton errors and had a total of 13 hits in the game.
The C-Hawks took the lead in the top of the first with three runs. Baltic responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning. The Bulldog offense then got hot. They scored nine runs in the bottom of the second, four in the third, and three more in the fourth to end the game on the 15-run rule.
Kaiya Lenderts had three hits, including a triple, and two RBIs. Katelyn Moser had two hits, one a home run, and three RBIs. Sophia Even added two hits, one a home run, and two RBIs. Baylee Breece had two doubles and two RBIs. Harper Kortemeyer finished with a triple and two RBIs. Braya Sells had a single and an RBI. Caitlyn Pickett had a double, and Haedyn Painter had a single. Alexis Kehn finished with an RBI.
Ryah Peters pitched 3 1/3 innings and allowed three hits and a walk with seven strikeouts. Charlee Blommer pitched 2/3 of an inning allowed three runs, all unearned, on a hit and two walks with a strikeout.
