The Mt Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney Padres scored in every inning and beat Baltic 17-2 in Baltic on Monday, April 29th.
The Padres scored three runs in the top of the first. They added four runs in the second, one in the third, and five more in the top of the fourth for a 13-0 lead. Baltic scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Isaac Oakley had a two-run single. The Padres scored four more times in the top of the fifth.
Oakley had a single and two RBIs. Braxton Allen finished with a double and single. Payton Anderson also had a single. Allen pitched 2 1/3 innings and allowed six runs, but none of them earned, on seven hits. Riley Schultz pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed seven earned runs on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts. Beau Breece pitched one inning and allowed four runs, three earned, on a hit and three walks with one strikeout.
