The Baltic high school baseball team is still in search of their first win of the season. Baltic suffered a 12-2 loss in Dell Rapids on Friday, April 5th.
Dell Rapids scored three runs in the bottom of the first and three more in the second for an early 6-0 lead. Riiker Rogers drew a bases-loaded walk in the top of the third to score Baltic’s first run. Elias Oakley added an RBI single in the top of the fourth to cut the lead to 6-2. Dell Rapids, however, scored six times in the bottom of the fourth to make the score 12-2. Baltic was held scoreless in the top of the fifth, and the game ended on the 10-run rule.
Braxton Allen finished with two doubles in the game. Oakley had a single and an RBI. Payton Anderson had a single, and Rogers had an RBI. Tate Feucht pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed 11 runs, seven earned, on six hits and six walks with four strikeouts. Beau Breece pitched 1/3 of an inning and allowed an earned run on a hit with one strikeout.
