In their second game of the Big East Conference Tournament, the Baltic Bulldog girls lost to the Chester Flyers 75-47 at Sioux Valley High School on Friday, January 26th.
Chester built a 20-13 lead by the end of the first quarter. They extended that lead to 39-25 by halftime. The Flyers continued to build on the lead in the third quarter. Chester outscored the Bulldogs 21-13 to take a 60-38 lead into the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs were outscored 15-9 in the final quarter.
Baltic shot 31% (19-62) from the field overall, 33% (6-18) on three-point shots, and 50% (3-6) from the free-throw line. Chester shot 43% (29-68) overall, 42% (11-26) from three-point area, and 75% (6-8) from the free-throw line.
Baylee Breece finished with 20 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Meredith Larson added 10 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Caitlyn Pickett had six points, four rebounds, and three steals. Harper Kortemeyer had five points and two assists.
