The Baltic Bulldog girls basketball team traveled to Madison to face the Madison Bulldogs on Monday, January 22nd. Madison took the win by a score of 54-38.
Madison’s first half was the key to the victory. They outscored Baltic 16-8 in the first quarter and then 14-6 in the second quarter. Madison lead 30-14 at halftime. The the two teams scored 13 points each in the third quarter and then 11 points each in the fourth quarter.
Baltic shot 33% (13-40) from the field overall, 17% (2-12) on three-point attempts, and 48% (10-21) from the free-throw line. Madison was 32% (22-68) shooting overall, 14% (3-22) from three-point area, and 47%( 7-15) from the free-throw line.
Harper Kortemeyer had 13 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Bayle Breece had nine points and 10 rebounds. Holland Kortemeyer finished with seven points and four rebounds. Kate Bouman added five points.
