Big Second Quarter Leads to Win for Baltic Boys

A big second quarter helped the Baltic Bulldogs to a 57-37 win over the Deubrook Dolphins at the Entringer Classic in Brookings on Saturday, December 30th.

Baltic held a 14-10 lead at the end of the first quarter.  They then outscored the Dolphins 20-3 in the second quarter for a 34-13 halftime lead.  The lead grew to 30 points, 49-19, in the third quarter.  Deubrook finished the third quarter on a 7-0 run, but still trailed 49-26 going into the fourth quarter.

Three players finished in double figures.  Jack Erickson, named the game’s MVP, had 16 points, six rebounds, six assists, and four steals.  Blake Hookie had 15 points, four rebounds, and two steals.  Kellen Artz finished with 13 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and four blocked shots.  Mark Ditter added nine points, three rebounds, and five assists.
