The Baltic Bulldogs hosted the Sioux Valley Cossacks in volleyball action on Thursday, October 12th. The Bulldogs won the match in straight sets by scores of 25-8, 25-20, and 25-21.
Baltic started the match on fire with a 12-1 run in the first set. The Bulldogs cruised from there to a 25-8 victory. The second set went back and forth to start. The score was tied 3-3, 6-6, and 9-9. Baltic held a 14-13 lead before scoring three in a row for a 17-13 advantage. Sioux Valley got back within a point, 17-16, but Baltic ended the set on an 8-4 run for the 25-20 win.
The Bulldogs got to a quick lead in the third set, 5-1. They were able to extend that lead to 12 points, 21-9. Sioux Valley then made a run. The Cossacks went on a 6-1 run to cut the lead to 22-15. They kept chipping away and got within three points, 24-21, but Baltic ended the rally to win the set 25-21, winning the match.
