The Baltic Bulldog volleyball team hosted the Chester Flyers on Tuesday, September 5th. The Flyers took the match in straight sets by scores of 27-25, 25-13, and 25-15.
The two teams started the match tied 6-6 early in the first set. Chester went on a 5-0 run for an 11-6 lead. They extended that lead to 17-8. Baltic made a run and chipped away at the lead until finally tying the score 24-24. The Bulldogs took a one point lead at 25-24 and were one one away from the comeback, but the Flyers scored the final three points for a 27-25 win.
The two teams started the second set close and were tied at 4-4 and again 7-7. The Flyers then went on a 4-0 run for an 11-7 lead. That lead crew to 16-9 and then 21-11 before Chester took the second set 25-13. Baltic started on a 5-3 run in the third set, but Chester scored seven in a row to go ahead 10-5. They maintained a five point lead to 18-13. The Flyers finished the match on a 7-2 run for the 25-15 victory.
