The Baltic Bulldogs hosted the McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars on Friday, September 1st. The Fighting Cougars took the win by a score of 46-6.
McCook Central/Montrose scored the first 46 points of the game. The first score came with 5:15 in the first quarter on a five-yard run followed by a two-point conversion. The defense recorded two points after a Baltic snap sailed out of the back of the end zone with 5:51 to play in the second quarter. The Fighting Cougars took advantage of getting the ball back and scored on a 41-yard touchdown pass with 2:53 left in the first half. They would get one more score before halftime on a 10-yard run with 1:08 left on the clock. McCook Central/Montrose led 26-0 at halftime.
The first score of the second half came on a 25-yard interception return for a touchdown with 4:43 left in the third quarter. They scored again on a one-yard touchdown run with 3:28 left in the quarter. Their last score happened with 8:06 left in the game on a four-yard touchdown run.
The Bulldogs scored with 3:13 left in the fourth quarter. Tate Feucht connected with Jack Erickson on an 11-yard touchdown pass.
