Baltic Cross Country Ready for Great 2023 Season

The Baltic Bulldog cross country teams had a successful 2022, and they are ready to build on that success for a great 2023 season.  The boys team won three meets last year and finished third in the Big East Conference meet.  The girls team finished second in Howard and also finished third in the Big East Conference last season.

This year the girls team will look to be competitive with junior Elizabeth Hockenberry and sophomores Meredith Larson, Hailey Tiahrt, and Sadey Holt.

“We know the young team will work hard and look to finish in the top three at a few meets and also look to win a meet,” said head coach Rory LaValliere about the girls team.

The boys team will be led by senior Alex Langner, who participated in the state meet last season, as well as sophomore Kyle Gronewold.  Senior Shae Fiala, junior Jack Wilde, and sophomore Garrett Wilkinson will round out a competitive boys team.

“We hope to compete more for some team wins and look to take an entire team back to state,” mentioned LaValliere when talking about the boys team.

The season starts Friday, August 25th in Beresford.
