Volga pounded out 14 hits and scored 18 runs in an 18-3 win over Baltic 16U on Monday, June 26th.
Ryder Siemonsma had an RBI single in the top of the first to give Baltic an early 1-0 lead. Volga took the lead in the bottom of the inning with two runs. They added seven more in the bottom of the third to lead 9-1. Riker Rogers had a run scoring single in the top of the fourth to make the score 9-3, but Volga scored nine times in the bottom of the fourth to end the game on the 15-run rule.
Rogers had two hits and an RBI. Siemonsma had a hit and an RBI. Beau Breece also had a single. Breece pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed eight runs, seven earned, on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts. Braxton Allen pitched 1/3 of an inning and allowed five runs, three earned, on two hits. Joey Grunewaldt pitched 1/3 of an inning and allowed five earned runs on five hits and a walk.
