The Vermillion Tanagers ended the Alcester-Hudson Cubs nine-game winning streak on Thursday, May 1st. Vermillion defeated the Cubs 10-0.
The Tanagers scored two runs in the top of the third. They added three more runs in the top of the third for a 5-0 lead. After a scoreless fourth inning, Vermillion had four runs in the top of the fifth and one more in the sixth. The Cubs were unable to score, and the game ended on the 10-run rule.
Delta Pies had two hits, one a double. Jenna Manning also had a double. Emma Moller pitched six innings and allowed 10 runs, seven earned, on nine hits and two walks with seven strikeouts.
