The Alcester-Hudson Cub track team had their first meet of the season on Tuesday, April 8th. The Cubs competed in the Elk Point-Jefferson Husky Invite.
Devin Hongslo finished second in the shot put with a throw of 34’6″. Emma Solberg took third in the 300m hurdles in :53.15 and fifth in the 200m dash with a time of :28.01. Emily Winquist placed fourth in the 400m dash with a time of 1:06.28. The 4x200m relay team of Laney Decker, Winquist, Elsie Bovill, and Solberg was fourth in a time of 1:55.45.
Jose Topete-Lopez won the shot put with a toss of 45’10”. Ethan Bovill was third in the 400m dash with a time of :54.17. Evan Haak placed third in the shot put with a throw of 43’1″ and finished fourth in the discus at 124’11”. Tommy Walth wass fourth in javelin with a throw of 136’11”. Brody Andrews took fifth in the 400m dash in :55.59. Darin Dykstra was fifth in the 300m hurdles in :47.57. The 4x100m relay team of Evan Brown, Dykstra, Bovill, and Andrews took fifth in :46.92.
