The Tincaps took the lead with two runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed.\u00a0 They added three more runs in the top of the third for a 5-0 lead.\u00a0 West Central cut the lead to just one, 5-4, after a four-run bottom of the third.\u00a0 Tea, however, scored three more times in the top of the fourth to make it 8-4.\u00a0 West Central got within two, 8-6, with a two-run sixth inning, but Tea put the game away with another three-run inning in the seventh.<\/p>\n
Keaton Vessells had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs.\u00a0 Will Nester finished with two hits.\u00a0 Duece Sherard had a hit and an RBI.\u00a0 CJ DenBoer had a double.\u00a0 Connor Siemonsma and Andrew Zimmer both added a single.\u00a0 Maison Schult had two RBIs.\u00a0 Gage Nelson finished with one RBI.\u00a0 Schult pitched four innings and allowed eight runs, six earned, on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts.\u00a0 Vessells pitched 2 2\/3 innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on three hits and five walks with three strikeouts.\u00a0 DenBoer pitched 1\/3 of an inning striking out one.<\/p>\n
Vermillion broke a 1-1 tie with a run in the top of the fifth, which proved to be the game-winning run.\u00a0 The other run for Vermillion was scored in the top of the first inning.\u00a0 West Central tied the game in the bottom of the second on an RBI single by Zimmer.<\/p>\n
Zimmer finished with a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Domo Chandeswang had two doubles.\u00a0 Derek Renken also had a double.\u00a0 Renken and Mason Behrens both had an RBI.\u00a0 Renken pitched 6 2\/3 innings and allowed two runs, both unearned, on three hits and six walks with eight strikeouts.<\/p>\n
Flandreau built a 7-0 lead in the first two innings which was enough to keep them in front the rest of the game.\u00a0 West Central pulled with two, 7-5, after three runs in the top of the third and two in the fourth.\u00a0 Flandreau then scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth and two more in the fifth to extend the lead to 11-5.\u00a0 West Central got another run in the sixth and two in the seventh.\u00a0 Flandreau had two more runs in the bottom of the sixth.<\/p>\n
