Tri-Valley started the tournament with a 15-5 win on Friday.\u00a0 They had a total of six hits while holding Dell Rapids to just one hit.\u00a0 Tri-Valley scored four in the bottom of the first inning.\u00a0 Dell Rapids got three in the top of the second, but Tri-Valley responded with five in the bottom of the sixth.\u00a0 Dell Rapids got two more in the top of the third, but Tri-Valley added six more in the bottom of the third.\u00a0 The game ended after the top of the fourth inning on the 10-run rule.<\/p>\n
Owen Bunde and Gage Egger each had a double and an RBI.\u00a0 Cole Hendrixson and Tristen Bunde each had a hit and an RBI.\u00a0 Treyson Ricther and Myles DeWitt also had hits.\u00a0 Mason Hemme added two RBIs.\u00a0 Egger pitched 1 2\/3 innings allowing three earned runs on four walks and four strikeouts.\u00a0 Denton Bicknase pitched an inning and recorded two strikeouts.\u00a0 Kaiden Bernards pitched 1 1\/3 inning and allowed two runs, one earned, on a hit and three walks with two strikeouts.<\/p>\n
In the second game of the day for Tri-Valley, West Central scored four runs in the fifth inning and three more in the sixth to steal an 8-5 victory.<\/p>\n
West Central got a run right away in the top of the first inning.\u00a0 Tri-Valley struck for four runs in the bottom of the third.\u00a0 Bunde hit a fly ball to center and reached on an error that also scored Hendrixson.\u00a0 Bunde scored on a passed ball for a 2-1 lead.\u00a0 Richter also scored on a passed ball, and Egger scored on an error to give Tri-Valley a 4-1 lead.<\/p>\n
The score remained 4-1 until the top of the fifth inning.\u00a0 West Central scored four times to take a 5-4 lead.\u00a0 Egger had an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game to send the game to extra innings.\u00a0 West Central, however, scored three times in the top of the six and held Tri-Valley scoreless in the bottom of the inning for the 8-5 win.<\/p>\n
Egger had a hit and an RBI.\u00a0 Hemme had two hits.\u00a0 Hendrixson finished with a double.\u00a0 Bunde, Richter, and DeWitt each had a single.\u00a0 Bicknase pitched 5 1\/3 innings and allowed seven runs, five earned, on nine hits and a walk with seven strikeouts.\u00a0 Hendrixson pitched 2\/3 of an inning allowing an earned run on two hits and three walks.<\/p>\n
Tri-Valley bounced back on Saturday against Tea-D.\u00a0 They scored in every inning and held Tea to just two hits in their 15-2 win that ended in four innings on the 10-run rule.<\/p>\n
Tri-Valley scored three times in the first inning, and then had four runs each in the second, third, and fourth innings.\u00a0 Tea scored two runs in the bottom of the second inning.<\/p>\n
