The Tri-Valley high school baseball team had three games in a three day span, and earned a win in all of them.\u00a0 They traveled to Flandreau on Wednesday, May 7th, hosted Madison\/Chester on Thursday, May 8th, and then had a road game at McCook Central on Friday, May 9th.<\/p>\n
Neither team was able to push across a run in the first three innings of the game.\u00a0 Tri-Valley broke the 0-0 tie with five runs in the top of the fourth.\u00a0 Flandreau cut the lead down to one run with a four-run bottom of the fifth inning.\u00a0 Tri-Valley responded with a run in the sixth and then added three insurance runs in the seventh.\u00a0 Flandreau scored just one time in the bottom of the seventh.<\/p>\n
Treyson Richter had two hits, including a double, with two RBIs.\u00a0 Cooper Durick also had two hits.\u00a0 Alex Wingen had a single with three RBIs.\u00a0 Aiden Bunde and Brody Dybvig both had a single with an RBI.\u00a0 Tristen Bunde added a single.\u00a0 Richter pitched five innings and allowed four runs, three earned, on five hits and five walks with six strikeouts.\u00a0 Wingen pitched one inning and allowed two walks and had two strikeouts.\u00a0 Jackson Williams threw one inning and allowed an unearned run on two hits with a walk.<\/p>\n
Tri-Valley was able to win a wild game against Madison\/Chester on Thursday.\u00a0 Each team scored a run in the first inning.\u00a0 Madison took the lead, 2-1, with another run in the top of the second.\u00a0 Tri-Valley would score the next eight runs.\u00a0 They had three runs in the bottom of the third and five more in the fourth to take a 9-2 lead.\u00a0 Madison, however, responded with a big eight-run fifth inning to go in front 10-9.\u00a0 Tri-Valley tied the game in the bottom of the fifth, and they then took the lead with four runs in the bottom of the sixth.<\/p>\n
Brechen Frederick had two hits with three RBIs.\u00a0 Richter finished with two hits and two RBI.\u00a0 Wingen had two, one a triple, and an RBI.\u00a0 Parker Hemme also had two hits.\u00a0 Mason Hemme ended with a double and two RBIs.\u00a0 Dybvig also had a hit with two RBIs.\u00a0 Tristen Bunde had a single, and A. Bunde ended with an RBI.\u00a0 Landon Schenkel pitched 4 1\/3 innings and allowed seven runs, six earned, on six hits and six walks with three strikeouts.\u00a0 Denton Bicknase pitched 1\/3 of an inning and allowed three earned runs on three hits and two walks with one strikeout.\u00a0 Dybvig pitched 2 1\/3 innings and allowed two hits and a walk with five strikeouts.<\/p>\n
The string of games ended with a road win for Tri-Valley on Friday.\u00a0 A string of runs to start the game and then end the game helped them to the win.\u00a0 Tri-Valley scored two runs right away in the top of the first.\u00a0 McCook Central countered with a run in the bottom of the inning.\u00a0 Tri-Valley would then score two in the top of the second and four more in the top of the third for an 8-1 lead.\u00a0 McCook Central got one run back in the bottom of the third.\u00a0 They would add three in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 8-5.\u00a0 Each team scored a run in the sixth inning to make the score 9-6.\u00a0 Tri-Valley put the game away with five runs in the top of the seventh.<\/p>\n
M. Hemme had three hits, one a double and three RBIs.\u00a0 Cole Hendrixson had two hits, including a triple, with three RBIs.\u00a0 Williams added two singles and two RBIs.\u00a0 Richter also had two singles.\u00a0 P. Hemme and Bicknase each had one hit.\u00a0 Durick and T. Bunde both had one RBI each.\u00a0 T. Bunde threw 6 1\/3 innings and allowed six runs, two earned, on six hits and three walks with 10 strikeouts.\u00a0 Lawson Schneiderman pitched 2\/3 of an inning and recorded one strikeout.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
