{"id":2985,"date":"2024-11-06T10:57:04","date_gmt":"2024-11-06T16:57:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/tri-valley\/?p=2985"},"modified":"2024-11-06T10:57:05","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T16:57:05","slug":"tri-valley-volleyball-season-ends-in-region-3a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/tri-valley\/tri-valley-volleyball-season-ends-in-region-3a\/","title":{"rendered":"Tri-Valley Volleyball Season Ends in Region 3A"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-19\" src=\"https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/tri-valley\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Tri-ValleyMustangs.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"96\" height=\"96\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/tri-valley\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Tri-ValleyMustangs.png 96w, https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/tri-valley\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Tri-ValleyMustangs-48x48.png 48w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 96px) 100vw, 96px\" \/>The Tri-Valley Mustang volleyball team had their 2024 season come to an end in the opening round of the Region 3A tournament on Tuesday, November 5th.\u00a0 The Mustangs fell to the Garretson Blue Dragons in straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-18, and 25-17.<\/p>\n<p>In each of the three sets, Garretson took a big lead early and then held of Tri-Valley runs late.\u00a0 The first set started with a 2-2 tie.\u00a0 The Blue Dragons then went on an 8-1 run for a 10-3 lead.\u00a0 They extended that lead to 20-9.\u00a0 The Mustangs went on a 6-2 run to make the score 22-15, but Garretson scored the final three points for a 25-15 win.<\/p>\n<p>Garretson opened the second set with a 10-0 run.\u00a0 Tri-Valley was able to stop the run and make the score 15-8.\u00a0 The Blue Dragons led 18-10 and then 22-13.\u00a0 They were at set point, 24-13, but the Mustangs then went on a 5-0 run to make the score 24-18.\u00a0 Garretson stopped the rally, however, and scored the set-winning point for a 25-18 score.<\/p>\n<p>The third set started with an early 3-2 lead for the Blue Dragons.\u00a0 They extended their lead to 10-5 and then to 18-9.\u00a0 The lead grew to 22-10, but the Mustangs went on a 7-1 run to make the score 23-17.\u00a0 Garretson won end the match with two straight points for a 25-17 win.<\/p>\n<p>Tri-Valley&#8217;s season ends with an overall record of 5-20.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Tri-Valley Mustang volleyball team had their 2024 season come to an end in the opening round of the Region 3A tournament on Tuesday, November 5th.\u00a0 The Mustangs fell to the Garretson Blue Dragons in straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-18, and 25-17.
