{"id":2961,"date":"2024-10-22T22:11:26","date_gmt":"2024-10-23T03:11:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/tri-valley\/?p=2961"},"modified":"2024-10-22T22:11:27","modified_gmt":"2024-10-23T03:11:27","slug":"tri-valley-volleyball-has-set-back-in-elk-point","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/tri-valley\/tri-valley-volleyball-has-set-back-in-elk-point\/","title":{"rendered":"Tri-Valley Volleyball Has Set Back in Elk Point"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-19\" src=\"https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/tri-valley\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Tri-ValleyMustangs.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"96\" height=\"96\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/tri-valley\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Tri-ValleyMustangs.png 96w, https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/tri-valley\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Tri-ValleyMustangs-48x48.png 48w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 96px) 100vw, 96px\" \/>The Tri-Valley Mustang volleyball team lost to the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies, who received votes to be ranked in the latest media poll, on Tuesday, October 22nd.\u00a0 The Huskies won in straight sets by scores of 25-12. 25-15, and 25-19.<\/p>\n<p>After leading by just a point, 3-2, in the opening set, the Huskies went on a 7-2 run to extend their lead to 10-4.\u00a0 They kept building on that lead all set long.\u00a0 Elk Point-Jefferson had leads of 17-6 and 21-8 before winning 25-12.\u00a0 The second set started with a 3-3 tie.\u00a0 Elk Point-Jefferson, however, went on a 7-2 run again for a 10-5 lead.\u00a0 The Huskies extended their lead to 16-7.\u00a0 They maintained that advantage to a 25-15 victory.<\/p>\n<p>Elk Point-Jefferson started the third set with a 5-1 lead.\u00a0 Tri-Vallley responded with a 4-1 run to cut the lead to 6-5.\u00a0 The Huskies would push the lead to 11-6 and kept that advantage to a 15-11 score.\u00a0 They then went on a 6-2 run to extend their lead to 21-13.\u00a0 The Mustangs battled to within four points, 22-18, but the Huskies stopped the rally and won 25-19.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke Steineke and Emery Pearson both had four kills each.\u00a0 Abby Wagner had four ace serves and seven set assists.\u00a0 Macey Boese ended with eight digs, and Cheyenne Hanson had seven digs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Tri-Valley Mustang volleyball team lost to the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies, who received votes to be ranked in the latest media poll, on Tuesday, October 22nd.\u00a0 The Huskies won in straight sets by scores of 25-12. 25-15, and 25-19.
