In the opening round on Friday, Tri-Valley used two big innings to earn a 13-9 win over Dakota Valley.\u00a0 Tri-Valley scored seven times in the top of the first inning.\u00a0 Dakota Valley got two runs back in the bottom of the inning and then another one in the bottom of the third.\u00a0 Tri-Valley scored five times in the top of the third and led 12-3 after three innings.\u00a0 After Tri-Valley scored one more run in the top of the fourth, Dakota Valley had their own five-run inning to make the score 13-8.\u00a0 Dakota Valley got just one more run in the bottom of the sixth.<\/p>\n
Carter Sorenson finished with three hits and three RBIs.\u00a0 Brody Dybvig and Kaiden Bernards each had a hit and an RBI.\u00a0 Hunter Foster, Mason Hemme, and Parker Hemme all finished with one hit each.\u00a0 Cyrus Kirstein added an RBI.\u00a0 Tristen Bunde pitched 1 2\/3 innings and allowed five runs, none of them earned, on three hits and three walks with two strikeouts.\u00a0 Denton Bicknase pitched 1 2\/3 innings and allowed an earned run on three hits and two walks.\u00a0 Dybvig pitched 1 2\/3 innings and struck out two batters.<\/p>\n
A five-run rally by Dell Rapids in the bottom of the sixth gave them a come-from-behind win on Saturday.\u00a0 Each team scored a run in the first inning.\u00a0 Tri-Valley got single runs in both the third and fourth innings.\u00a0 Dell Rapids scored two times each in the third and fourth innings.\u00a0 After four innings of play, Dell Rapids led 5-3.\u00a0 Tri-Valley then took the lead with three runs in the top of the fifth.\u00a0 They would get two more runs in the top of the sixth for an 8-5 lead.\u00a0 Dell Rapids, however, would get five runs in the bottom of the sixth.<\/p>\n
Gage Egger had a hit and three RBIs.\u00a0 Bunde finished with a home run and an RBI.\u00a0 Dybvig had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Sorenson added a double.\u00a0 Bernards had a single.\u00a0 Dybvig pitched five innings and allowed six runs, four earned, on five hits and three walks with nine strikeouts.\u00a0 Sorenson pitched one inning and allowed four earned runs on five hits and a walk with a strikeout.<\/p>\n
Tri-Valley took a 1-0 lead after a run in the top of the first inning on Sunday.\u00a0 Volga, however, would score the next six runs of the game.\u00a0 They got a run in the second, two in the third, and three in the fifth.<\/p>\n
