Lake Norden scored two runs in the top of the first inning and held the lead throughout the game.\u00a0 The Shockers cut the lead in half after an RBI single by Nolan Carls in the bottom of the fourth.\u00a0 Lake Norden added another run in the top of the fifth.\u00a0 Everett Althoff scored on an error in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 3-2, but Lake Norden got an insurance run in the top of the sixth to secure the win.<\/p>\n
Althoff had two hits, including a double.\u00a0 Carls had a single and RBI.\u00a0 Noah Haynes also had a hit in the game.\u00a0 Kaden Egger pitched five innings and allowed three earned runs on four hits and a walk with nine strikeouts.\u00a0 Haynes pitched two innings and allowed an unearned run on a hit and two walks with one strikeout.<\/p>\n
Both teams scored in the first and third innings, but Lake Norden added seven runs late to pull away 13-3 in the second game.\u00a0 Lake Norden scored three times in the top of the first.\u00a0 Colton got one run in the bottom of the inning.\u00a0 The scored remained 3-1 until the top of the third.\u00a0 Lake Norden had another three-run inning.\u00a0 The Shockers got two runs back, cutting the lead to 6-3.\u00a0 Lake Norden then scored four runs in the top of the fifth and three more in the top of the sixth.<\/p>\n
Althoff had three of the four hits for Colton, which included a double and triple.\u00a0 He also had an RBI.\u00a0 Carls had the other hit for the Shockers.\u00a0 Haynes finished with an RBI.\u00a0 Cody Lofswold pitched two innings and allowed six runs, four earned, on three hits and two walks with two strikeouts.\u00a0 Cole Focken pitched 1 1\/3 innings and allowed three earned runs on two hits and three walks with three strikeouts.\u00a0 Althoff pitched 2 2\/3 innings and allowed four runs, all unearned, on four walks with three strikeouts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
