The De Smet Bulldog cross country teams ran in the Region 2B meet at Lake Region Golf Course in Arlington on Wednesday, October 16th. The girls team placed fifth with 43 points. The boys team finished seventh with 67 points.
Three runners qualified for the state meet individually for the girls team by placing in the top 20. Adalyn Gross was 10th with a time of 21:54.53. Cambria Gross took 19th in 23:10.85, and Alaina Albrecht finished 20th in 23:17.72. Bella Wilkinson (22nd) had a time of 23:23.68, and Gemma Luethmers (27th) finished in 24:45.89.
One runner for the boys team qualified for state. Jordan Botkin finished 15th in 19:04.19. Chase Temme (25th) completed in 20:01.40. Owen Anderson (34th) had a time of 20:45.17. Gabriel Aughenbaugh (36th) finished in 21:25.71, and Noah Luethmers (56th) finished in 27:59.26.
The state meet will be held at Hart Ranch in Rapid City on Saturday, October 26th.
