The De Smet Bulldog boys basketball team cruised to their fifth win of the season after a 67-23 victory over the Howard Tigers on Tuesday, January 10th.
De Smet led start to finish in the game. The Bulldogs led 16-6 at the end of the first quarter, 34-10 at halftime, and then 56-13 after the third quarter.
The Bulldogs shot 47% (26-55) from the field overall, 29% (5-17) from three-point area, and 71% (10-14) from the free-throw line. Howard was 21% (9-42) shooting overall, 20% (3-15) on three-point shots, and 2-2 from the free-throw line. The Tigers also turned the ball over 15 times in the game.
Damon Wilkinson had 22 points and 18 rebounds. George Jensen finished with 20 points and seven rebounds. Kadyn Fast added seven points. Kasen Janssen had six points, and Britt Carlson had five points.
