The De Smet Bulldog boys basketball team had no trouble with the Arlington Cardinals on Friday, December 6th. The Bulldog defense held the Cardinals to single digit points in each of the quarters in the 66-19 victory. De Smet 23-3 at the end of the first quarter, 46-10 at halftime, and 63-15 at the end of the third quarter.
The Bulldogs shot 50% (23-46) overall, 38% (6-16) from three-point area, and 58% (14-24) from the free-throw line. Arlington shot just 17% (7-41) from the field, 14% (3-21) from three-point area, and 33% (2-6) from the free-throw line.
Damon Wilkinson finished with 22 points and nine rebounds. George Jensen had 14 points, 10 rebounds, three blocked shots, two assists, and two steals. Kadyn Fast added 12 points and two assists. Kasen Janssen and Tom Aughenbaugh both had five points each.
