Jake Heinitz hit an RBI double in the top of the second to put Dell Rapids in front 1-0.\u00a0 They held the lead until the bottom of the fourth.\u00a0 Volga would score three times in the inning for a 3-1 lead.<\/p>\n
Heinitz had a double and an RBI.\u00a0 Kenny Swanson, Ryan Brandenburg, and Haiden Kaffar all had a hit.\u00a0 Gauge Bunkers pitched three innings and allowed two earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts.\u00a0 Eli Gullickson also tossed three innings and allowed an earned run on a hit and two walks with one strikeout.<\/p>\n
After the two teams were tied 3-3 through two innings of play, Dell Rapids put seven runs on the board in the top of the third.\u00a0 They added another run in the top of the fourth to make the score 11-3.\u00a0 Garretson put together a rally scoring five times in the bottom of the sixth to make the score 11-8.\u00a0 They scored one more time in the bottom of the seventh, but Dell Rapids held on to win to continue playing in the tournament.<\/p>\n
Tommy LaVoy had two hits with an RBI.\u00a0 Connor Hanson had a single and three RBIs.\u00a0 AJ Brandenburg and Swanson both had a hit and two RBIs each.\u00a0 Caiden Borns added a hit with an RBI.\u00a0 Bunkers and Heinitz both finished with a single, while R. Brandenburg had an RBI.<\/p>\n
Dell Rapids took an early lead, but then also had to come-from-behind to stay in tournament play.\u00a0 They scored five times in the top of the first for an early 5-0 lead.\u00a0 Parkston got three runs back in the bottom of the first.\u00a0 Dell Rapids added another run in the top of the second.\u00a0 Parkston scored two more times to cut the lead to 6-5.\u00a0 Parkston would add two runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 7-6 lead.\u00a0 Dell Rapids rallied for two runs in the top of the fifth to go back in front 8-7.\u00a0 They added an insurance run in the top of the sixth.<\/p>\n
Kaffar had two hits with three RBIs.\u00a0 AJ Brandenburg finished with two hits and an RBI.\u00a0 Swanson added two doubles.\u00a0 Heinitz ended with two singles.\u00a0 Bunkers had a single with three RBIs.\u00a0 Bunkers pitched 5 2\/3 innings allowing two earned runs on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts to earn the win.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
